Such a hidden gem – right in the centre of Warkworth, and within easy reach of our favourite (and our labradors!) beaches. Lara could not have been more helpful, especially when we left an important item behind, in sending this to us. A really lovely, unique place to stay and the garden is very dog friendly, and totally enclosed. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit, hopefully not our last. Once again, the Studio met our requirements and with its large garden was a perfect place for our black Labrador. The surrounding area is wonderful especially Northumberland’s famous beaches. Thank you Lara for making us feel so welcome.

We once again had a lovely stay, Accommodation is excellent for two adults and two dogs, plenty of eating places within 2 minutes walk, lovely riverside walk. A sandy beach is a short drive away. Potio doors lead out to a very private garden. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Lots of places to visit in the area. We shall visit again. Highly recommend.

Fabulous studio apartment. Very private with a beautiful secure garden for my little dog. The studio has everything you could need.. spotlessly clean and in a fantastic location bang in the centre of the village. Warkworth has some lovely dog friendly pubs and restaurants. Great base for exploring Northumberland Josts Lara & Andy very friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will 100% be back.
I went with a friend maybe consider a zip & link bed that could convert in to 2 singles for non couples and some seat pads for the wooden dinning chairs..
We are so glad that you had such a great time. As you have stated we are very much set up for couples. We have considered a king size or zip link bed for the property but do not feel there is enough room around the bed for this. It is certainly something we will be looking into for our other property when it comes to upgrading. I’ll look out for some seat pads as you have suggested that are in keeping with the property.

We had a lovely 3 day stay in the studio. Immaculately clean and well presented. Garden was fantastic and very dog friendly. The host was very helpful and friendly. The cottage is in the middle of a lovely quaint village))age with pubs and restaurants and restaurants on your doorstep. Very dog friendly area. The beach is within walking distance and is beautiful..
We are so pleased that you have had a great time. We are lucky to have plenty of places to eat and drink in the village and there are many more in the next villages of Amble and Alnmouth for even more choice.

We had three nights in the studio with our one year old labrador.. The studio was modern and very clean and had all the amenities for a self catering break.
The weather was on our side and we made use of the lovely garden. Lara and Andy, the owners are friendly and helpful . Warkworth is a lovely village, we parked up for. The weekend , and walked in the surrounding areas . Warkworth beach is not to be missed. and is practically on your doorstep. Lots of cafes and pubs,, dog friendly within minutes. Of the studio. Everyone friendly. . We had a great break and hope to return to Cross House Studio in the near future.

Had a great stay at the Cross House studio. Lara and Andy welcomed us and we felt immediately at home. The studio is within walking distance of the beach and Amble marina. There’s a choice of pubs in Warkworth as well as gift shops and the castle.
The studio had everything we needed after a day of walking and visiting the beaches of Bamburgh and Alnmouth. The enclosed garden was great for our dog. Thank you!

Just wow what an excellent base for discovering the local area. Warkworth is a stunning place to visit. The studio provided us with everything we needed for our short stay. Lara is the perfect host welcoming us on arrival , free car parking in the adjacent riverside car park with lots if spaces provided. The local beach is 15mins walk away and stunning. A walk to Alnmouth is worth the effort. Cant wait to return to continue of adventures in Nothumbria.

Our first stay at Cross House Studio was very relaxing and we”ll certainly come back. Andy and Lara are very friendly and welcoming. The studio is well furnished, modern and the bi-fold doors let in lots of light, It’s perfectly positioned in the middle of Warkworth for the Mason’s Arms, Bertram’s and lots of walks – along the river and out to the beach.

Our 3rd stay at Cross House Cottages & the only place we truly felt we could consider for a holiday as we emerge from Covid. It was great meeting up with Lara & Andy again after a 2 yr absence, we absolutely echo everything the previous reviewer Paul S has recently said. Andy & Lara have done a great job remodelling the apartments & we are always relaxed at Cross House. We have two spaniels & their safety is also paramount. Cross House has all that covered with its walled garden & double door entry. We call it our safe haven & the perfect place to just chill out. We love Warkworth & the whole amazing area. As always, I could go on & on. Always a wrench to leave. Another great week. Thanks Lara & Andy.

A very special little place – just perfect for a relaxing few days away in a beautiful part of the country.
The studio is spacious, very clean and with modern facilities has still kept its oldy world charm. The bifold doors opening onto a terrace, sitting area and fabulous garden is what makes this place special, just perfect for holidaying with our dog.
The location is superb, in the centre of Warkworth village, with amenities, a great beer garden serving great food and a lovely tearoom all within a minute walk to the front of the accommodation but with the peace and tranquility of the garden at the back. Access to amazing walks via the river, castle, dunes, nature reserves and a beach that is hard to beat. Villages either side within easy walking distance.
With friendly owners on hand if needed sharing local knowledge helped us make the most of our stay.
Would not hesitate to recommend for a dog friendly relaxing getaway with everything needed on hand.

Excellent in every way. The studio apartment was very spacious. Location is perfect for local amenities. Where else can you find river walks, a castle and a beautiful beach?

Loved it so much we’ve had 2 holidays with Lara & Andy at Crosshouse Cottages. Staying in the studio both times. We were the 1st customers to stay in the studio after its fabulous upgrade. Crosshouse has a warm, friendly vibe, which is complimented by lovely hosts. A great garden for our two spaniels to have a stretch. And Warkworth & the whole area is absolutely amazing. 10/10.

We stayed in the Studio which was comfortable, functional and very clean. The cottage is central to the village with its castle, local shops, excellent restaurants and pubs. The village is well situated to the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and coastal towns as well as being very close to the beautiful beach. An excellent base for visiting Alnwick, Bamburgh Castle, National Trust’s Cragside, Holy Island and other notable visitor sites.
