Discover Warkworth

Cross House Cottages are based in the  delightful village of Warkworth in Northumberland.

Warkworth is dominated by its well-preserved medieval castle and church and famed for its riverside walks and stunning wildlife.

Situated just a mile from the sandy bay, which stretches from Alnmouth to Amble in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village sits on a coastal route providing over 20 miles of golden sandy beaches.

Friendly village pubs, small shops and bistros are on the doorstep about 50 yards away.

Dog Friendly Accommodation

Cross House Cottages sit on the grounds of the owners, Lara and Andy, who are dog lovers themselves.

We allow up to two medium sized dogs to come and stay with their owners and we have facilities to help make your stay as pooch-friendly as possible. Dogs stay for free.

The cottages have ample outdoor space for your canine companions to run around and benefit from the fresh Northumbrian coastal air.

Our ground floor cottage, Cross House Studio, also has direct access to the garden via its spacious open-plan living area and double-height bi-fold doors.  Our upstairs apartment still has full use of the same outdoor space with a window overlooking the garden where many of our 4 legged visitors love to sit.

Cross House Cottages will make your dogs feel as welcome as their owners.
